Winifred Denise Jones was born on July 30, 1955, in Sarasota, Florida, to Shirley Laffitte. A Sarasota High School alumna, Winifred pursued further education and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Her career included positions at Arthur Anderson and The Windsor.
Winifred Denise Jones departed this life on June 16, 2024, in Bradenton, Florida. She was predeceased by her mother, Shirley Laffitte; her son, Ryan Jones; and her great-aunts, Winifred Jones and Peggy McKinsey.
Her legacy will live on through:
Her daughter, Victoria Thomas (partner Tabitha Marshall);
Her sister, Marilyn Frett “Tina” (spouse Clayton);
Her grandchildren, William Thomas (Kristy), Joshua Thomas, Kazembe Thomas, Farrakhan Shannon, Elijah Shannon, Christian Lisica, and Breauna Lisica;
Her great-grandchildren, Darren McCumber, Marlee Thomas, Azharia Thomas, Liam Thomas, Ryan Hortsman, Xyir Yawn, Jordyn Thomas, Dream Carter, and Christian Lisica, Jr.;
And a cherished circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
