Evangelist Sarah Kathryn Jones-Richardson (91) of Orlando Fl. Peacefully slept away to her Heavenly home to be with the Father on October 9, 2025, Viewing will be October 24, 20225 10am-12:00noon at Bethlehem Bible Church 1680 18th Street Sarasota Fl. 34234. Home Going Service will be October 24, 2025. 12:00noon at Bethlehem Bible Church 1680 18th Street Sarasota Fl. 34234. Evangelist Sarah Kathryn Jones-Richardson is the second daughter of three, born to Mr. Charlie and Willie Mae King-Jones of Sarasota, Florida (both deceased;); and is the oldest living child of Charlie Jones out of 13.
Kathryn graduated from Booker High School in 1952. Kathryn married her high school mate, Sergeant Rudolph V. Richardson (deceased 1975), who had entered the U.S. Air Force two months after high school graduation and served in the Korean and Vietnamese Wars before retiring. In this union, the Lord blessed them with two lovable children, Rudy Jr. and Sheryl Kathleen (deceased 2006). Kathryn is a grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 3.
In 1984 the word of the Lord came to Kathryn through prophesy stating that the Lord was going to send her to Florida to break down barriers in the Baptist churches. During those days, women ministers were frowned upon in the Baptist church.
Kathryn said when she totally surrendered to our Heavenly Father, she said, “Lord, whatever you want me to do, I’m willing.” Therefore, there were no thoughts, so she sold her home and moved to Florida.
She was the first woman to grace God’s pulpit with His Word in the church she grew up in, Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Sarasota, Florida, now Bethlehem Bible Church under the pastorate of Rev. Patrick Miller.
God introduced His love through Kathryn in different parts of Florida, California, Michigan, New Jersey, the Bahamas, and Jamaica. Her motto is “God is better than good and more than wonderful all the time.”
God gave Kathryn the vision to open a Bible Book store Ministry in the Wilcox Shopping Mall one year after she had labored at United Bible College as Program Director, assisting Dr. Samuel Gordon, President (deceased). She also studied there and received a Master’s degree in Theology.
During the 10 years (God’s time frame) operating the bookstore, God did a mighty work through His anointed vessel. God saved many, healed, set free, and delivered. Some were married there, some received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, and some received counseling.
Kathryn says among the many blessings she has received from God, her greatest love was receiving her BA – Born Again Degree followed by her two trips to Israel, which granted her the privilege of walking in the same path where Jesus walked and baptized in the same body of water (the Jordan River) where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. “Just for posterity sake, an experience of a lifetime” she says.
Kathryn, at 86, still enjoys sharing the love of Jesus and says, “I’m not tired yet.” She says “I just can’t stop praising God for all His benefits that He has loaded me with. Presently, she is Associate Minister of Truth Deliverance Center of Jesus, Orlando, Fl. where Bishop Eddie Mitchell Jr. is Pastor/Founder.
She will be missed by all who know her. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Rudy: Sisters, Helen, Gwendolyn, Connie, Maxie, and Jackie; brothers, Mike and Ray; eight grandchildren, Julian, Rudy III, Evan, Briana, Nyla, Constance, Dahvi, and Asha: six great-grandchildren, Luke, Kingston, Katie, Trinity, Evan James and Charlotte Rose; many nieces and nephews, spiritual godchildren; and a host of beloved relatives, and friend.
Hallelujah!!!, Praise the Lord!!!, “I’m better than blessed”, she says. “To God Be The Glory!

My Dearest Cousin Evangelist Kathryn,
I am just learning of your passing. I am sadden by this news but I know the Heavens are rejoicing as you move from labor to reward. We met late in life but found that we were kindred spirits. I will miss our late night conversations, sharing our testimonies and our mutual love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! You were one of the precious Saints of God. Thank-you so much for your encouragement, friendship and love. Our fellowship was always filled with prayers , laughter and hope. I will miss you.
“Well done thou good and faithful servant!”

I was deeply saddened to recently learn of the passing of my dear cousin, Kathryn, who always reminded me that she was with my family when I was born. Although we were not in frequent contact, we stayed connected through birthday wishes and warm thoughts over the years. That connection meant a great deal to me. My sincere condolences to all who loved her. She is greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
