Marlin C. Irving, Jr., 61, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on May 3, 2022. Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Chandler’s Funeral Home, 1425 Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Way, Sarasota, FL 34234. Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler’s Funeral Home, Sarasota, FL.
Mr. Marlin C. Irving, Jr., was born on September 18, 1960, in Enterprise, Alabama, to Eva Irving and Marlin C. Irving, Sr.
He attended high school and was a truck driver. He was a hard working man. He also was a very loving and caring man who loved his family and his many friends. Mr. Irving was a creative individual and shared his creativeness in some form through his dress attire. He would laugh when asked how did he make a particular dish that he had cooked, but he would only tell you some of what he had used. He would only tell you what he wanted you to know.
Mr. Irving, Jr., loved his grandchildren, but reality held a special place in his heart as he called his granddaughter, “Stanka-boo” and his princess. He was a great man and had a heart of gold and was a true hustler.
Mr. Irving leaves cherished precious memories of his life to his wife, Veronica Irving; two children: Marquita Simmons and Jonathan Simmons; his parents: Eva Irving and Marlin Irving, Sr.; three sisters, Kalene Harvey, Maxine McCray, and Sabrina Irving; two brothers: Sammy Irving and Willie McCray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
