Lakisha Ann Thomas, 43, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on March 21, 2022. Lakisha was born on March 14, 1979, in Sarasota, FL, to the late Susie Ann Thomas of Butler, AL, and Verna Moss of Lithonia, GA. Lakisha really enjoyed living life to the fullest. She was very kindhearted and outspoken. She was the most realist, humble, loyal, and goofy soul that you could ever have met. There was never a dull moment when she was around. She worked very hard in everything she did. Lakisha was all about her money and her fashion. She absolutely loved talking to her fans on Facebook live and listening to her favorite rapper, Kodak Black.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Susie Ann Thomas, a son, Keshawn Johnson, and her grandmother, Minnie Pearl Thomas.
Lakisha Ann Thomas leaves precious memories of her life to her daughter, Kenisha Johnson; eight sisters, Shawndreka Carter (Derrik) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Achieva Phillips (David) of Virginia, Erica Clark (Angelo) of Clinton, MS, Chasity Waters of Augusta, GA, Shanquala Long (Joshua) of Midway, GA, Kenya Anderson (Michael) of Lithonia, GA, Jeanice Sinclair (Tahon) of Virginia, and Prenisha Moss of Richmond Hill, GA; two special sisters: Terita Malone (Jamille) and Angela Thomas (Lamont), both of Sarasota, FL, two brothers: Romond Williams (Derekia) and Willie Williams, III, (Rayna), both of Sarasota, FL; her grandfather, Dardia Stoney Burke of Sarasota, FL; an unborn grandchild; four very close and best friends: Deshundra Wine, Sylvia Clyburn, Toya Martin, and Felicia Brown, all of Sarasota, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other close family and friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Chandler’s Funeral Home, 1425 Dr. Martin L. King, Jr., Way, Sarasota, FL. Homegoing Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Light of the World International Church, 3809 Chapel Dr., Sarasota, FL. Chandler’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Kisha. Although I didn’t personally know you ,( but only through Facebook) I felt like I knew you. I felt some kind of a connection. When I saw the news of your passing it really hurt my heart and was a shock. I have continuously had you on my mind. You touched so many all around the world. RIP. KT
