Mrs. Aretha B. Hansen, 60, of North Port, FL transitioned from labor to reward on September 1, 2026.  Visitation will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Chandler’s Funeral Home.  Homegoing Celebration 11:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Bayside Church, Fruitville.  Interment: Palms Memorial Park

Mrs. Aretha B. Hansen was born in Sarasota, FL.    She was hardworking, and very loving and caring person.  She departed this life, leaving loving memories with her husband of 37 years, James Hansen; children: Ariel Freeman, Whitney Hansen-Wortham (Joseph); Jamie Hansen; James Hansen, Jr., and Iris Hansen; 2 stepsons: Darnell Spencer and Christopher Rambeau; Mother: Doris Yancy; Grandmother: Deloris Kinsey; Special Grandson: Keyvus Canady and a host of many loving relatives and friends who will all cherish her loving members that will forever remain.
