We stayed started careers Fabian in education and I with the State of Florida. We loved music, he a musician and I a listener. We followed the Gators ups and downs. We stayed in touch down through the years even on his last day in this life.

Soror Hankerson, I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved husband. I know the Lord will see you through this and I know your faith is strong and I also want you to know, I am here for you and your family. Remember the B attitudes, “ blessed are you that mourn for you shall be comforted”.

Roommate, Bandmate, Brother and Friend, we shared memories on many levels. You touched many lives with your talent and frienship. Heaven’s band just filled their bass player spot. My deepest sympathy to your family.

Mr. Hankerson was my daughter Sophie’s teacher and helped her class with reading programs in the computer lab. He also worked at the school board with both my husband Mr. Matt Moore and his mom Mrs. Trudi Moore for years. We are so sad. He was such a wonderful teacher and person. It seems like just yesterday he was down at the Astro Skate field trip with the kids doing the cha cha slide!

Everyone spoke well of you Fabian! My brother Maurice spoke well of you, my husband Sekou spoke well of you and my father Mark Dawsey spoke well of you!
Sekou said you were a nice guy when you brought Amari to tennis practice! I don’t know, but they say the good die young. My condolences to Brandy and your entire family! RIP

Fabian and I were 5th grade teaching friends for years at Daughtrey Elementary. Wonderful, busy years supporting each other in planning and watching our talented students get ready for middle school. I am sure that there are many former students, now young adults, who think of him with gratitude and fondness, as I do. I will miss him. Kate
