Norman Miller Sr, AKA Papa, was born on September 25th, 1943, in Woodland, Georgia, to the late Alfred Miller and Mildred Neal. He graduated from Ruth Carter High School in 1962.
Norman and Addie met in 1964 in Georgia. After Addie graduated, Norman resided in California, where he worked for a brief time. Norman returned to New York, where he and Addie got married on December 21, 1964. While in New York, Norman and Addie welcomed their first child, Norman in 1972.
Captivated by Florida’s sunny weather and beautiful coastline they soon moved to Sarasota in 1976. Norman and Addie purchased a home and became members of Deliverance Miracle Revival Center where he became a Deacon. December of 1977 Norman and Addie welcomed their second child, Jennifer and 1 year later in December 1978 they welcomed Erica. Over the years Norman has welcomed nine grandchildren whom he adored.
Norman was an avid fisherman and hunter, often spending his days by the water from sunrise to sunset. He also enjoyed cooking, buying and working on cars. A true jack of all trades, Norman drove semi-trucks, built porches, pool cages and screen enclosures.
Norman was a devoted husband for 60 years, father, and grandfather, he will be truly missed by all!
Norman’s children would like to express our love and gratitude to our mom for her tireless care of our dad you are truly God sent!
