William Powell Horne was born April 26, 1953 to the late Robert and Robbie Lee Horne, in Sarasota, FL.
William was raised in Sarasota, FL. His educational background began with the Sarasota County school system. William later joined the U.S. Military (Air Force) and later attended Sarasota Vocational school where he studied Culinary Arts.
In 1997 William along with his wife and son moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he has spent the past 25 years.
William had a sheer passion for family, especially his children. He enjoyed dancing, traveling, entertaining and spending time with friends.
He departed this life on August 16,2022, in Atlanta, GA.
He was proceeded in death by his brother Robert Honor.
William leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Lebertha Roden-Horne (Atlanta, GA). Two daughters; Latonda M. Horne (Cyrus) of Sarasota, Lakieffa M. Horne-Nickens (Stephen) of Sarasota, FL; Two sons; Shabass A. Horne of Atlanta, GA, Rahman R Horne of Sarasota. Nine grandchildren: Teairra Horne, D’ante Lane, Cyrus Smith Jr., Chasity Horne, Dallas Williams, Rahman Horne Jr., Tahan Horne, Zihman Horne and Zahman Horne. And two very special great-grandchildren: Myles Presha and Deloni Smith.
He also leaves to cherish his memories his five brothers: Eddie Horne, St. Petersburg, FL, Theodore (Allen) Horne of Brooksville FL, Gary Horne of St. Petersburg, FL, Harvey (HL) Horne of Panama City, FL and Phillip Horne of Jonesboro,GA. His mother-in-law Mrs. Mae F. Roden of Sarasota, FL, and six sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law as well as host of nieces, nephews, close family, and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Horne will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, August 26, 2022 at Chandler’s Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Light of The World International Church, Sarasota.

I am so sorry to hear about my brother William Horn passing . We was young kids growing up in Newtown together as classmates , Neighbors and good friends.
I will always remember William, Rest In Peace my brother .
