Mrs. Regina Fluellen Purdue, of Valrico, Florida peacefully answered the Lord’s call from labor to reward on February 29, 2024.

The beautiful Regina F. Perdue was a kind, compassionate and loving woman, who
treated everyone she encountered as if they were family. She would do anything to help
those in need. She always had time to listen and pray for and with people. You always
felt loved and appreciated after seeing Regina. Discovering her passion for cooking led her to start her catering business, Taste of Heaven. She prepared meals for numerous politicians and celebrities in her role as CEO. If you’ve had the pleasure of eating anything she prepared, you know your taste buds were in for a treat.

Regina was born on January 27, 1957, the only daughter, and the eldest child,
to parents Lewis Flewellen and Ruby Watkins in Albany, Georgia.

She was raised in Sarasota, Florida and graduated from Sarasota High School.
In 1986 she met the love of her life, Eddie J. Perdue, they were married September 22, 1987, and their love story lasted for 36 years. Their union produced many years of joy and laughter. Everyone who knew Regina was aware of her tendency to talk about and express her love for her children.  She often spoke life in them and always encouraged them

She is preceded in death by her father, Lewis Flewellen and brother, Michael
Lafayette Fluellen.

Regina leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by…

^ Son: Reginald A. Sanders;
^ Daughter: Shady S. Fluellen;
^ Mother: Ruby Watkins;
^ Brothers: Zachary Fluellen and Castlelow Fluellen;
^ Sister: Vanessa E. Cotton;
^ Grand dog: Slim Fluellen;
^ And a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and
friends.

My heart is saddened by this loss. Regina and I worked together in my father’s restaurant in downtown Sarasota. I am sending prayers and thoughts to the family. God bless you all.
