On Monday, February 17, 2025, Jesus plucked a flower out of His garden and received Janice Dozier Brantley unto himself. Born on August 1, 1944, in Long Island, New York to the late Henry Dozier and Ida Mae Dozier, Janice was the youngest of thirteen children blessed of that Union.
She was born in Lake Hamilton, Florida and lived in both Long Island, New York and Florida. In many years in both states. When her children were young, she settled in Florida. She retired after many years of service from Owens-Illinois. Her joys were cooking, her family, and witnessing about the Lord.
She was saved with the previous gift of the Holy Ghost in the early 1980’s under the pastoral ship of the late Apostle Henry Ross, Sr. Janice loved the Lord, talking about the Lord, and being a disciple to bring others to know Christ. She believed in the power of prayer. She will be forever remembered, missed and loved for her faithfulness, total commitment and service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband Michael Brantley, brothers Lemmie C. Dozier, James (JD) Dozier, Otis Weatherington, Earl Dozier; sisters Cathernell Robinson, and Bennie Pearl Spence.
Janice leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children Anthony Dozier (Cathy), Lisa Dozier-Snipes (Anthony); grandchildren Shayla A. Ochoa (Juan Carlos), Cherice Brown, Anthony J. Dozier, Jr., Alea Brown; Alex Dozier, and her one and only great- grandson Aiden Lanier; siblings Swanee Evelyn Grier, Alma Grier (Clarence), Euguene Dozier; and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.
