Ms. Shelby Clarice Sellers

Shelby Clarice Sellers was born September 24,1959, in Sarasota Florida to the late Mr. Dan Sellers Sr., and Sis. Juanita Lane-Sellers. She departed her journey with us on September 21, 2022 at 9:48 AM in the comfort of her bed with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids by her side.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Chandler’s Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Newtown Estates, 2800 Newtown Blvd, Sarasota, Florida.

Shelby moved down to Sarasota, Florida in 1975 from New York. She jumped right in and completed her senior year at Sarasota High school. She went on to obtain several certificates and also her Associates degree. She enjoyed music, live blue crabs, her vitamins (if you know, you know) and her kids and grandkids. Shelby was known to be a true hustler with a heart of gold, who was known for always having a open door and a helping hand, she was a mother figure to many and a nana to even more.

Ms. Sellers was preceded in death by both of her parents; her grandmother Willie Mae; and brothers Mr. Charles, Dan Jr., and Roy Sellers.

Shelby C. Sellers leaves behind to cherish her memories is her four girls: Shkendra Baker, Shenicker Robinson, Pyandra Allgood and Christy Duffy, all of Sarasota, Florida; Son-in-law: Brent Bland of Bradenton, Florida; her sister girl: Mardorie Bess of Sarasota, Florida; She also leaves behind two brothers: Mr. Willie Sellers of New York and Mr. Joseph Sellers of Sarasota, Florida. She leaves to carry on her legacy her grandchildren: Sheltiana, Damarlon, Shnariea, Jamarlon, Lamont, Jamiyha, Kiah, Shaquan, Omar, Ashshfi, Tabari, Aneesah, Justyce, Faith, Keyshawn; great-grandchildren: Brooklynn and Londynn Johnson; niece: Aishieka; and a host of great-grandchildren, friends, and family that will miss her smile, laughter, and aroma of her presence.
