Tommie was a great friend to me. Tommie and I had a very close emotionally intimate relationship as he has lifted me during hard times and I have lifted him up during his hardships for the past 5 years. When his grandpa died, I noticed his spirit started to die. When we talked about his losses he proceeded to tell me death changes people… now I’m experiencing the same as well. When Tommie passed he took a piece of my heart with him. Tommie has supported me all the way through everything& anything you can think of. Not only that but even his love extended towards my own friends. Tommie would give me his last and wouldn’t even tell me it was his last. I cherish our memories. I replay his voice messages just to hear him again. Tommie is selfless, big hearted, soft hearted, kind, intelligent, open minded, wise & witty. I truly don’t believe I will find a soul like him he is one of a kind. I’m so greatly sorry for your loss. Ive made peace that Tommie was already dying spiritually as he was struggling to keep above water. I make peace with the fact there’s no better place than Gods kingdom. Amen.

To the Battie family Words cannot describe how Sorry i am. My thoughts and heart felt prayers are with you.
I will always remember Tommie from his days on Lil’ Seneca football. First time i met him he was a little shy, that didn’t last long. He always had a smile on his face, even at a young age. Tommie was a great football player, he always practiced hard, he always gave 100% of himself on game days. All around he was a good kid and teammate. I can still hear him calling it off at the end of practices, “Who are We?”, the team shouting back at him “Lil’ SENECA!” then Tommie saying “I can’t hear yooouuuu”…..It was both a privilege and a honor to Coach Tommie back then.
May his memory live on in our hearts forever. Love ya
Coach Jeff B.

Gone to soon. Another angel has left this world. Prayers to his family, friends, and loved ones. If only we were able to turn back the hands of time.

Like a comet
Blazing ‘cross the evening sky
Gone too soon
Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon
Shiny and sparkly
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night
Like the loss of sunlight
On a cloudy afternoon
Gone too soon
Like a castle
Built upon a sandy beach
Gone too soon
Like a perfect flower
That is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon
Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night
Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon
Gone too soon

How do I say goodbye to what we had?
The good times that made us laugh
Outweigh the bad
… I thought we’d get to see forever
But forever’s gone away
It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday
… I don’t know where this road
Is going to lead
All I know is where we’ve been
And what we’ve been through
… And if we get to see tomorrow
I hope it’s worth all the wait
It’s hard to say goodbye to yesterday
… And I’ll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday
… And I’ll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday
